We are delighted to be holding this photography holiday at the wonderful four-star Palazzo Loup, set in the beautiful Emilia-Romagna countryside just outside the charming town of Loiano. Set in secluded grounds with glorious views across the valley, the Palazzo is the ideal setting for a great week of photography, relaxation and discovering the best that this fantastic region has to offer. A healthy combination of creativity, delicious food and wine and an active social schedule will guarantee a memorable holiday.
Under the expert guidance of Suzy Prior, the aim of the course is to develop your photographic skills in many ways with opportunities to put theory into practice. After an introductory session at the start of the week, participants will be given creative and technical direction in aspects of street photography, architecture, landscape and portraits.
Mornings will be spent at the Palazzo in group workshops followed by afternoon excursions which will give participants the opportunity to photograph the fascinating landscape, people and surroundings of this wonderful region. Excursions to Bologna and Dozza are included in the course itinerary as well as opportunities to capture local life in Loiano.
Photo clinic sessions will be offered where participants can benefit from one-to-one feedback with Suzy on any aspect of their work. Each day, participants will share their images for discussion with the rest of the group.
As well as providing a rewarding creative experience, we aim to give participants the opportunity to enjoy a truly memorable holiday. A typical day will include a morning workshop followed by a buffet lunch, after which there will be individual or group feedback sessions. Afternoon excursions usually depart at around 3pm and return in time for dinner, with the exception of the excursion to Bologna which will return at around 10pm.
On the penultimate evening there is a barbecue evening and a concert performed by the participants of the guitar and singing courses that are running alongside this course.
Emilia-Romagna is famous for its beautiful countryside, fast cars, rolling vineyards and is the gastronomic heart of Italy.
